I read like EVERY Geronimo Stilton book. I miss them so much. I didn't know there were graphic novels though. Omg that one where Geronimo Stilton could have gotten with Petunia Pretty Paws and didn't still has me reeling. I actually forgot that the books were formatted like this! It makes me happy and nostalgic. What I would give to just put standardized tests on hold and reread The Kingdom of Fantasy...
I guess these books somehow passed me by as a kid, and I didn't really notice them until I was shelving like a million per shift at the library. When I opened one, I was SHOOK. I totally see what you're saying about fonts and colors being super fun, but I think if I had to read a whole book formatted like that, I'd come away with a headache. Sorry, but I'm Team Times New Roman all the way!
Wow, you just opened a memory portal or something, holy cow. Though I did read a few of his books, I was always more of Magic Treehouse and the like type of child. Both Geronimo and Jack and Annie shared in their love for adventure, humor, and all-around good times. I realize reading this that not only do I miss reading, I also miss devouring a series with characters I was genuinely fond of. Thank you for this trip down memory lane, Elizabeth. Great post!
The wave of nostalgia you just brought back was more like a tsunami! To be honest, I probably didn't have as strong of a connection to him as some of you may have, since I grew up more on Captain Underpants and other immature books like that, but Geronimo still made a lasting (and more beneficial) impression! Man, I haven't really sat down and read a good book for pleasure in a while. This post might actually manage to make me do that.
